Katie is a current student studying musical theatre at the South Carolina School of the Arts. She has been performing from a very young age and has had many experiences both on stage and behind the scenes. Growing up in a small town in Washington state, she was exposed to theatre all around her from classes to workshops to eventually performing on many stages.

She has brought many characters to life, including Ms. Teavee in Willy Wonka, the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, Medda Larkin in Newsies, Elsa in Frozen, and Miss Hannigan in Annie. Most recently, she portrayed Charon in The Lightning Thief, for which she received an Irene Ryan Acting nomination through the American College Theatre Festival. She has also done a lot of behind the scenes work, including running crew, make-up artist, follow spot operation, and choreographing. 

After finishing her undergraduate degree, Katie plans to pursue a Master's of Fine Arts in Directing. She hopes to both direct and perform in the future, specifically working with high school and college students.
